Pint at the brewery - gold with a frothy head - those lemon.drop add an intense citric punch to the nose - nice creaminess to the texture - clean malt.profile - hop profile is a fairly bitter, herbal, fairly bitter, ending with a kind of strong and brash grapefruit pith quality - it’s a decent brew, but the hop character is a little too sharp at the end.

Taster at the brewery - dark purple - a fair balance of sweetness and acidity with this one - tart grape skin up front, followed by sweet raisin, fig, a touch of tamarind and treacle - but then it gets crazy boozy and messy and husky and things just fall apart - dang.

Taster at the brewery - jesus.hell this tastes like straight up coconut (at its.best) and suntan lotion (at its worst) - oily texture, medium sweetness, a touch of roast, mild vanillq bean - some tartness and acidity.develops at the end that cuts the sweetness and coconut a bit - not my.thing.

Taster at the brewery - hazy gold with a moderate lace - a little thin in texture, but develops a decent frothiness on the tail.end - tart up front, followed by some sweetness and mild.banana esters, but finishes strong with some dryness and spicy phenolics - decent.

25th May 2015: on tap in the Irvine Yard House. Milk chocolate aroma and taste to this dark brew. Sweet and interesting, the coconut content gave it a ’Bounty bar’ kind of feel in flavour. I liked it, even if it was a bit weird for a Stout.

Tap. Pours crystal clear with a lighter hued body with a fading white head. Aromas are of mild esters, isoamyl acetate and apple, breads, biscuity, grainy. Mild sulfur. Flavors are tart, a bit sweet, Apple juice, grainy, wheat, estery. Lively carbonation.
