Sample at the brewpub. Hazy straw color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Spotty lace. Wheat, spice and malt aroma. Light body with flavors of herbal wheat, mild spice and biscuit malt. The finish is wheaty with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear pale yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Short strings of lacing. Grassy hops, fruit and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, doughy malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle from CraftShack. Pours copper/amber with a beige head. Aroma is floral and malty. Med body. Flavor is malty with a little, arguably floral, hop. Might be a touch of citrus. Not entirely dry. Not very bitter - but it is bitter, and it’s a much more palatable amber than oh so many.

Bottle from Bine & Vine opened with my 1981 vintage Mickey Mouse opener. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of white grapes and spicy/earthy something. Med + body. Flavor is white grapes, earthy, spicy, maybe some citrus. It is very dry. It is really rather bitter. Not exciting. Probably not complex. But heavy duty ale! Wish we had local distribution.

Pour is a murky orange with a large white head. Aroma is some melon and white grape hop with a bit of caramel malt. Flavor is again with some white grape hops but there is a strong caramel malt sweet backbone. This says it was put in the bottle on 11/16 and it’s dissapointing that it’s already turned into a malt bomb. Drink as fresh as possible, I guess.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is coconut and some chocolate. Might be a rye note. Med body. Flavor is coconut, chocolate and a light rye touch. Interesting and reasonably tasty. Finishing earthy and somewhat towards dry. Somewhat.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma is bready with a light spice touch. Near med body. Flavor is lightly sweet and bready with some very light spicy/grassy hop. A thirst quencher. For gulping, not savoring.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Fruity aroma. Med body. Flavor is mixed fruits - lots of it. Very hard for me to parse. Pale stone, tropical, citrus ... There’s a nice hop burn. Not quite dry, but very hoppy and burningly bitter. Highly recommended.
