On tap at the station tap house in North Bay Ontario clear copper pour, with a medium off white head. Aroma is quite bready and slightly sweet with hints of caramel and toffee. Mouth feel is a tad watery, and the carb is very soft. Finish was hints of nuttiness, and more bready caramels, with a round fruity end. Not bad, but I’d like it to be a little lighter and crisper. Keg might be a bit old too....

Can from the lcbo. Dark brown, not quite black pour with a medium beige head. A nice roasty Aroma, solid notes of coffee, and bitter cocoa powder. Hints of smoke and soy, and subtle dark fruit. Mouth feel is very nice, carb is spot on. Finish is very roasty, slight milk chocolate, and ends with a light bitterness. A nice session stout, lots of flavour, but not over powering. Well done.

Tap at session Muskoka. Hazy yellow pour, big white head. Aroma has alot of wheat, and some light tangy twang. Hints of earthy barrel, some light wood, and very slight lemon. Slightly watery mouthfeel, solid carb. Finish has some decent tequila notes, slightly savory, a little citrusy, with no bitterness and some light tartness in the end. Barrel is subtle, but adds a nice complexity.

On tap at session Muskoka. Clear golden pour, small white head. Aroma is odd, has a weird wet paper, and mushroom smell going on. As i let the beer settle is dissipates and opens up to some cereals, pale malts and some light citrus, but I can’t say I’m getting all sorts of tropical fruit. Mouth feel, and card are fine, and the bitterness is subtle. Finish is slightly fruity, with some cereals, and raw grains in the end. Meh.

On tap at the old station in downtown bracebridge. Jet Black pour, with a small beige head. Aroma is very roasty, with some light coffee, and brown sugar, but also a nice sharpest from the citrus. Reminds me a lot of the acidity you get in a coffee and lime. Soft mouth feel, good carb. Finish is sharp, but still quite roasty, with strong citrus notes, interesting integration of two very different flavour profiles.

Can from the lcbo. Nice pale cereal Aroma with a solid, but still somehow light Aroma of cucumber. Hints if citrus and some basil as some depth. Mouth feel and are are good. Herbal cucumber finish, with a light bitterness. Nice and very refreshing.

Clear Copper pour, nice off white, sticky head. Aroma is woody, but a clean wood. This is no oak barrel aging.... Smells like Virgin oak. I’m thinking this was aged on oak chips. Nice wood flavours, and aromas. It’s very subtle, but adds a nice complexity to an otherwise very very boring beer. Well done.

473ml bottle in their summer survival 6er. Clear golden pour, medium white head. Typical kolsch, grassy hops, nice cereals, easy drinking, crisp and clear. A good example of the style. No off flavours, just crisp grassy hops, and solid malty cereal flavours.

On tap at hardrock 42 in sudbury. Slightly hazy yellow pour, medium white head. Aroma is very yeasty and spicy. Big notes of corriander, and ginger with a strong almost chemical note. Very lively carb, with a very active mouth feel. The finish was medium bitter with more big corriander and yeast notes with some big tropical fruit now too. The chemical note seems to be gone, and made way for more spices. Now there is some earthy rosemary, and clove. Weird stuff.

Cask days 2015. What the hell is this?! Aroma was super musty apples with an odd sulphur aroma that was invading everything. Sulphur notes dominate and i cant find anything else. Flavour goes from tart to sour to rotten egg. Good god, this was awful, had to dump it in a planter.
