Cask (Giddy Bridge JDW,Southampton) - Copper coloured with a slightyly haze. Fruity and hoppy aroma with raisin and grapefruit. Nice hoppy and fruity taste with a well balanced fruit and hop finish which features chocolate,raisins and grapefruit.

Cask at The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester, Oxon 23-07-08 Pours reddy/brown with a thin white head, some apple on the nose, a fruity quite dry beer that was reasonably tasty.

Cask at the Alexandra, Derby. Hazy amber with a dense white head; candy floss aroma; flavour has tropical fruit, lemon and orange, with a deep but gentle underlying bitterness with a grapefruit tartness. Complex and unusual.

Dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, coffee and a bit of caramel. Sweet flavor with fairly hard roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and coffee notes. Ends mild bitter.

rhus2008. 50 cL bottle. Pours black with a minor redish glare and a lacing tan head. Coffee and roasted malt aroma, hints of smoke and chocolate. Flavour is hardroasted malt with a light acidic touch yet with smooth chocolate on top. Bitter and roasted/acidic finish.

Cask at the Lord Burton (JDW), Burton-on-Trent. Reddish brown with a thin tan head; coffee aroma; caramel malt and ground coffee flavour with a dry and fruity finsh. Not a patch on the regular Titanic Mild I tried last week.

500ml bottle from Tescos - not bottle conditioned. Pale gold with a loose white head; citrus aroma; creamy orange and grapefruit flavours; dry, earthy hop finish.
Cask at the Flowerpot, Derby. Not as obviously citrus as the bottled version, this had a more balanced fruitiness.

50cl bottle from Tesco. Not bottle-conditioned. Very lively pour although this doesnโt seem to be bottle conditioned; copper with a thick beige head that falls back quickly; heady aroma of raisin and alcohol; rich, thick and oily in the mouth, with vinous fruits and chocolate flavours leaving a dry, nutty and moreish finish. An excellent example of the ESB style.

50cl bottle from Tescos - not bottle conditioned. Pale gold with a thick frothy white head; strong dry hop aroma apparent as soon as the bottle is openned; more dry hops when tasted with some citrus, and a more grapefruit sweetness developing towards the end. Very pleasant and drinkable.
