Titanic Brewery has grown from very humble beginnings to production of over 3 million pints in 2020. Founded in 1985, Titanic Brewery has been brewing beer in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent for over 30 years. The Staffordshire brewery is run by local brothers, Keith & Dave Bott. We employ over 150 local people.

Cask at the Waggon and Horses (JDW), Alfreton.. A really excellent mild. Blackish brown with a tan head, when held to the light a raspberry purple hue is revealed; aroma of cherry and plum; very fruity flavour with raspberry, cherry and plum - rather like an old-fashioned cherryade; depsite all the fruit it’s not over sweet; the finish has dry roasted malts and a hint of hops. A very well put together beer.

(Bottle at Kaisla, Helsinki, on 2008-04-11) Golden and quite clear. Very small white head. Dry palate. Lacking the characters I normally associate with wheat beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 2/5/08. Dark brown in colour with a slight tan head. Aroma of red fruit with a hint of roastiness. Flavour had a malty edge before a dry, bitter finish. Good.

[i] [b] Cask at the Exchange, JDW, Banbury, Oxon 28-04-08 [/i] [/b] Dark brown with beige head, chocolate, malt and hops all gather on quite a decent aroma. Taste is more of the same, but backed up with a bit of fruitiness as well, finishes dry, really quite decent and at £1.09 a pint staggeringly good value.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Slightly cloudy chestnut with a beige head; malty aroma with a touch of orange; dry to start, then a sherbert-like burst of sweetness; milk chocolate and dry to finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Crosse Keys (JDW), City of London 3/4/08. Dark-reddish brown, with a decent tan head. Aroma of powdered chocolate, red fruit and coffee. Flavour had plenty of sweet malt, with chocolate and roasted notes and a hint of a bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask handpull at Shakespeares Head ’Sporks. Dark brown with thick lasting beige head. Tasty dark malt beer, good condition, toasty more than roasty, some fruit layered on the malts too. Good malts in mouth, not really a porter, more a malty premium bitter. Bit lacking in the mouth halfway through.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 08. Slight haze, amber colour, lasting beige head. Bit of yeast on aroma. Herby hop. Very herby/nettley hop. It’s there, but not aggressive. Good condition. Excellent condition in fact, but the farty yeast/herb thing is not for me.

Dark brown color. Caramel, cherries, apples and milk chocolate in the nose. Smooth balanced mouth, mildly sweet with the milk chocolate coming out quit a bit. Caramel, cherries and milk chocolate linger in the finish.
