Bottle- I remember having this beer a few years ago and not thinking too much of it but the bottle I had was sensational. Very dark in colour with a nice roasted aroma but also with some beautiful aromatic hops in there. The palate is subtle and not overwhelming but is delicious and superbly balanced. Coffee and roasted malts in the taste and very easy to drink. A superb brew.

Cask at the Coach and Horses, Shrewsbury, Salop, 19-10-07 Poured very near black with off white head there was a redness in this that was caught by the light from the window. The aroma was fine but somewhat predictable with just roasty notes detected. Taste was quite soft and pleasant a bit thin even shallow, but the roasted flavours of the malts shone through nicely.
