Cask stillage at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Pale straw in colour and almost flat, with a ring of white head; weak grainy aroma; thin and grainy to taste with a chalky edge and some citrus flavours; a refreshing bitter finish.

Cask handpull at Willow Walk, JDW, Victoria. Pale gold with thin lasting off white head. Earthy hop, golden bitter. For a 3.5% beer, I think they’ve done a good job, not the best beer in the world maybe. Some yeast and lovely lemon curd, grapefruit aroma, tad flabby in mouth, good lemon curdy dry finish. Impressed especially the citrus flavours are good.
