Cask at Sun Inn, Stafford Is slow to settle, but eventually pours a slightly hazy pale straw with minimal off-white head and good lacing. Aroma has some floral hops, but not much else. In the mouth it is initially sweet and creamy, but bitterness very soon creeps in, and it then fluctuates between the two. Flavour has floral hops, oranges, gooseberries, herbs, biscuits and barley sugar sweets. Finish is somewhat catty. This is OK, but it’s a taste that requires some getting used to.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. A light haze on this deep cherry red beer, good pale tan head. Smooth palate, soft and airy, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft creamy malts, a modest dark chocolate vibe, very modest. Reasonable fruity plum, juicy. Fairly dry finish. Nicely plummy but fairly dry.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Almost clear deep amber red beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. A very mild dark malt base. Bold maraschino cherry, much stronger than the piddly malt base. Light and semi finish. Good cherry affair but quite one note in its delivery.
