Pours a reddish brown colour with a small frothy beige head. The aroma is fruity, lots of plum, sweet malt and fruitcake. A smooth light sweet taste, stewed plum and sweet malt flavours with subtle chocolate and woody notes. A smooth mellow bitterness and more plum in the finish.

Bottle. Nose is very very plummy, jammy, maybe a little port, hit of blackberry. Taste is plum flavouring, surprisingly bitter, with licorice and a hint of aniseed, strawberry, jammy, blackberry, I really cant find much of the port barrel. Edit: My mistake it's port infused - who knows what that means practically. The basic Plum Porter I thought was very poor and this is not much better. The bottle suggests 'plum flavoring'. Whatever constitutes that syrup (I rather suspect the 'foodie flavours' product), dominates the beer with a thumping, powerful, note, like you would find in a soft drink. The port has no meaningful impact I can find. A fruit beer without fruit in the brewing process, and a short cut to get port flavours without barrel aging. It shows why proper brewers take time to the job properly; this is a genuinely terrible beer.

Cask at Sun Inn, Stafford. Pours a hazy golden yellow with minimal foamy white head, but good lacing. Mushy apples upfront in the aroma, with some corn and a dash of citrus. In the mouth, the initial sensation is a repellant sharp metallic sesation. Thankfully, this softens over time to give some sweetness with pink grapefruit flavour plus some generic citrus. Finish is quite bitter. A typical Titanic pale beer – in that I don’t like it !

Very dark red beer, thick off white head. Rich, fruity aroma. Flavour is fruity, good maltiness, some dry hop and a little warm booziness. Warming and pleasant.

Lively, clear red beer with a decent white head. Cherry aroma. Flavour has some cherry as you'd expect, some hops and malt. Quite dry as it turns out with a distinct bitterness in the finish. Not a lot else going on. It's fine, could maybe have leant into the cherry a little more. Fairly drinkable but it'd have stood out with a bit more cherry.

Cask at the Pump House JDW, Shirley, West Midlands. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a lasting creamy white head. The aroma is malt, big raspberries. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a smooth, malt, juicy raspberry, light sweet vanilla palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
