Cask at Bree Louise. Very dark brown colour with small beige creamy head. Aroma is chocolate, cream. Taste is similar, chocolate, vanilla. Very smooth. Very tasty, but couldn't help feel it was a bit one-dimensional. --- Beer merged from original tick of Chocolate & Vanilla Stout on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Cask at Bree Louise. Dark brown, not much beige head. Aroma is fruity and roast malt. Bit of chocolate and a bit of citrus. Washing up liquid lemon bizarrely. Taste is very smooth, dark fruit, lots of roastiness, and a touch of stink, but not bad. --- Beer merged from original tick of Black Ice on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Cask at Sun, Stafford. Nose as lactose combined with a frutiness suggestive of cherries. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a strong creamy head. In the mouth again it is a combination of smooth milkiness and fruits flavours like raspberries and cherries. Finish is the same, but some graininess does come through. Pleasant but nothing special.

29/8/2019. Cask at Sir John Moore, Glasgow. Pours dark amber brown with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, toffee, bread, fruit cake and light spice. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium to full bodied, rich texture, soft carbonation. Bready, cakey finish. Went down well after a day working in Glasgow.

Pitch black and no head. Coffee and caramel aroma. Roasted malt flavor with caramel, coffee, licorice and apple. Thin and a bit watery, but still a nice beer that goes down easily.
