Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2017, [ Great British Beer Festival 2017 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.[ As Titanic Plum Porter Grand Reserve ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, plum, jam, plum jam, berry - fruity, caramel - toffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, plum, dark malt, jam, plum jam, berry - fruit - riped, some sweet dark malt - caramel - toffee alike. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20170810] 5-3-5-3-11

Cask at 20th Kingston beer & cider festival, Kingston, Surrey. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, dark fruit aroma and taste.

Keg at the Kelsey House, Beckenham. Black pour with a beige head. Nose of coffee, chocolate raisin, liquorice. Flavours of licorice toffee, coffee, dark chocolate, caramel. Good stuff.

Handpull cask at the Railway Inn, Mansfield. Light to mid-gold, clear, with a white head. Spicy aroma with strong white grape, pepper and dried grass notes. Sweet spicy taste, lots of white grape coming through. Atringent, almost medicinal finish. Nice use of the Jester hop... Not my favourite hop but credit where credit is due.

Cask at Wellington. Pours clear ruby with off-white head. Sweet on a nose and keeps the trend on a tongue, not really plum but more like forest fruits or red berries. Good still.

Cask @ Booking Office, Edinburgh. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 160419

Cask @ Rat & Ratchet, Huddersfield. Near black with a creamy off-white head. Has a floral nose with some floralness in taste, but good, slightly nutty roasted malts are more dominant.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - orange more or less. Nose - orange and burnt bread. Taste - brht bread again not much fruit. Burnt raisin maybe. Palate - light to medium bodied. A touch astringent on the finish but not the worst. Overall - a bit challenging this one.
