Keg at Chiltern Taps, Wycombe. Dark copper with a thin off-white head. Slimy caramel with some berry notes. Straw and earth. Dear slime. Ugh.

Half-pint, well kept cask at Black Horse in Preston. Shared with Finn. A patchy beige head over a dark brown coloured body. Lacing rings down the glass. Promising smell of dark fruits and caramel. Well blended taste of caramel, earth, and dark fruits. Drying, mid-sweet malt-driven finish. Smooth on the swallow. Like it. (09.02.2019).

Half-pint on cask at Black Horse in Preston. Shared with Finn. A fawn-coloured head blanketing the glass. Rosewood body. Dark plums on the nose, inviting. Mixed taste of dark malts, dark plums and oak, not overly sweet. Lingering ending of dark plums. Rounded mouth feel and well bodied. Enjoying. (09.02.2019).

Dark brown beer with a huge tan-cream head. Salty, mineral nose with roast and rainwater. Bitterish-roasted, sweet, meatgravy, liquorice. Very carboanted, huge saturation and quite slick, rainwater quality in the feel too. Would be excellent with meat.
