Draft at the Royal Blenheim. Dark black, flat pour. Aroma comes in like cough syrup and hard candy. More of the fake cherry flavors in the taste, way too sweet. Did not finish.

Keg at the Royal Blenheim, Oxford, 19/05/18 ... Stevoj from Boise made me drink this ! Reddish brown with a decent light beige head. Nose is sweet cherry syrup ... not much else tbh. Taste comprises sweet cough syrup cherry, sugars, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Urghgh.

Half pour (cask) dark brown, light sneaking in makes it glow. Small thin beige head. Light fruity aroma. Taste also features the plums, quite prominently. Still a small roasty bite at the end. Nice.

cask at dispensary liverpool very very dark brown smooth light brown head. aroma of dried dark fruits sweet plums rubber and faint roasted malts. flavor is plums mild roasted malts floery sweetness. quite low in bittdrness.

Cask at the Clifton, Sedgley. Pours ruby brown with a small head. Aroma is vanilla and dark fruits. Taste has dark fruits and a coffee finish.

Bottle from Waitrose in Canary Wharf. The first beer while watching the Bahrain Grand Prix. Having had the St Peters version, that was horrible, I was very wary of this beer. It poured perfectly and there was a light aroma of plums when I stuck my nose in the tankard. The fruit was integrated perfectly with the beer and added a layer of gentle sweetness that was well balanced with hops. It was a light texture for a porter, but I won't quibble about a very good beer. There was none of the jaminess that wrecked the St Peters version. I followed it up with 2 London Prides and they struggled to match this pint. And my girls had eaten all of the crisps.......

Cask-conditioned, on gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2018. Deep gold in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Tangerine and pineapple fruits, citrus hops, a whiff of pine, some rich tea malts, leading to a dry finish. Enjoyable.

22/3/2018. Cask at the Wetherspoon Real Ale & Cider festival @ the Windmill, Stansted Airport. Pours clear gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hop, caramel, fruit and sweet malt. Medium to heavy sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation.
