Half at the Crosse Keys. There was some strong hopping to this beer that was well balanced with the malt. It was ok, but didn't get me dancing in the streets.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Orange in hue with a beige head and a light fizz. Caramel, strawberry sherbet, floral notes, grapefruit pine, spice. Assertive hoppy bitterness in the finish. Pretty decent.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Very dark gold, almost like unpolished brass. Almost clear with a touch of soapy head. Aroma is pretty vegetal: some sour grape and a touch of wet cardboard as well. Taste is sweet and refreshing although it is a bit saccharine in the finish. Not terrible but it's missing something. Maybe it's the umlaut.

Cask at the picture house. Pours hazy golden, nose is burnt toffee, caramel, raspberry, taste is juicy, red fruits, grapefruit, bitter, dry.

Cask at the Crosse key, bank. A light hazed golden orange coloured pour with a a loose white head. Aroma is jammy, fruit, culle, strawberry short cake, weed. Flavour is composed of semi sweet malts, tobacco, jammy fruits wood and a little alcohol. Palate is semi sweet, light tangy, decent cask condition. Not bad. English yeast.

330ml bottle from Chez Sophie. Pours dark with ruby hints, no head at all. Plummy dark malt nose. Taste has a very light carbonation, lightly oily with that distinctive, smooth sweet plum porter character.. expected a bit more oomph but there's not a lot different to the original really

Tried at the Felix Holt, Nuneaton. hazy amber colour with a thick white head. Aroma is light fruity, slightly apple. Taste light sweet to mid bitter. Medium body.

Bottle. Mitchell's Wines, Sheffield. Deep ruby red. Slim ring of off white head. Nose is stewed plums. Prunes and custard. Not a ton else. Taste is sweet, in a stone fruit kind of way. Bit estery and such. Soft carbonation. Medium, oily mouthfeel. Sweet finish, with more stone fruit. Ok.
