330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of creamy coffee, chocolate cake and toasted malts. Flavors of black coffee, licorice and toasted malts. Dry. Very good.

300ml bottle. Probably slightly cloudy, darkest brown colour with weak ruby shimmer and average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly roasty and sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, some roast, minimally grainy overtones. Taste is roasty and slightly sweet-ish, minimally ashy, dark malty, slightly bitter roasty and bitter hoppy, hints of malt lozenge, some roast, some grassy hop, a weak touch of liquorice, undertones of dark caramel; increasing/accumulating (roasty) bitterness.
Watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Quite roasty and bitter, "dirty" - nice.

(Draft at Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht, 26 Feb 2026) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of chocolate, oak wood, coffee, caramel, spices and anise. Malty, boozy taste with chocolate, coffee, oak wood, liquorice, sweet sherry, spices, vanilla and a warming finish with a mild spicy bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Vinous, complex and rich. Very nice.
