Bottle picked up from Oproer brewpub, Utrecht, I had this back at the Hotel 2l de Blend, Friday 9th January 2026, after a long wet and later snowy walk from the hotel via De Kromme Harring (not open until 4pm, schoolboy error 😐) then into town, we visited Eetcafé de Poort first, then DeRat. Pours black with a light beige head. Roasty notes, there's coffee and chocolate mostly, Loz picks up a smokiness, she is right. A little burnt wood, chocolate again, good Impy' not too sweet, nice mouthfeel. Score 7.5

Bottle from AH Jan Linders. Color: Clear copper, beige head. Aroma: Caramel, dark malt. Taste: Dark malt, caramel, winter spices, gingerbread spices, anise(?). Moderate sweet, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, just below average carbonation.

Tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Pours orange blonde, scarcely transparent, with fine white foam. Aroma is yeasty, a little spiced, orange peel. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium bitter. Final is average.

Dorada nebulosa de espuma bastante duradera, algo jabonosa. Aroma lupulado frutal, melón, albaricoque. En boca es punzante de gas, sin molestar, oleosa, de amargor moderado. Sabor a malta de trigo, algo de plátano, aderezado de notas frutales ligeramente ácidas (el tono general es de moderada acidez)

(Draught at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 14 Aug 2025) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, orange and peaches. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, white bread, pineapple, grass and a balanced citric/grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Hoppy and refreshing. Nice one.

(Draught at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 14 Aug 2025) Golden colour with creamy, off-white head. Fruity, spicy nose with peaches, white bread and coriander. Fruity, malty taste with notes of peaches, white bread, herbs, coriander, citrus, grass and a mild herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced and refreshing. Quite nice.

Thanks fonefan! Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, some mild rye, a bit toffee, some alcohol and a bit toffee tones with some wood as well. Flavour is toffee, some rye, liquorice, chocolate, alcohol and mild roasted tones too. Alcohol is a bit burning, but otherwise this was a rather nice brew.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small beige head. Aroma of licorice, dark chocolate and cognac. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Peppery bold cognac, salmiak, caramel and dark chocolate. Warming, mellow, mid bitter finish
