De oprichter is de Duitser Joël Galy en de brouwerij maakt dan ook vooral bieren in Duitse stijl. Het heet Brasserie de la Mule omdat de ezel het symbool is van Schaarbeek en een ezel en een paard een muilezel voortbrengen.

Cloudy orange pour with a small white head. Aromas of yeat, orange (peel), more citrus, sweet bread, spices (cloves). Taste is orange, grapefruit, hops, malt and herbs. Decent bitter finish. Very nice - the higher ABV works well

Burk från Etre Gourmete. Disig ljusgul vätska med högt kritvitt skum. Doft av jäst, örter, gräs och klorofyll. Torr, krispig och gräsig. Smakerna blommar inte riktigt ut men har uppfriskande och krispiga kvaliteter som räcker långt ändå. Trevlig

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Nicely grassy noble hops with grainy malt, straw, crisp hoppy finish. Moderate bitter, low on sweetness, dry finale. Medium body. Really pleasant Helles, wish this was a tall can.

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Kölsch-style. Aroma is grassy and softly citrussy hop with grainy malt, herbal hop, some hay. Flavour is nicely bitter with fairly low sweetness and a dry finish. Medium body. Gone in minutes.

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is caramel, brown malts, spicy yeast, dried fruit, touch of ripe banana and black tea, clove. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a hint of wheaty sourness. Body is medium. Good, has enough going on.

(Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 19 Oct 2024) Pale yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, white bread, dough and lemon. Fruity, tart taste with notes of lemon, citrus peel, white bread and elderflower. No bitterness. Light body, dry. Refreshing and well made Berliner weisse. Nice one.

(Draugh at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 19 Oct 2024) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, pineapple, grass and bread. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple and a balanced citric/grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry. Hoppy and refreshing. Quite nice.
