Draft. A deep red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is very sweet and quite spicy with notes of cinnamon and cloves, but also with hints of berries. The flavor is sweet and very spicy - again cinnamon and cloves, but also with notes of wood and herbs.

(Bottle 30 cl) Pours a clear, orangey brown with a neat, beige head leaving a broad rim of laces. Aroma of roasted malt and dried fruits. Rather full-bodied with loads of roasted malt, notes of dried fruit and an almost vinous edge - sort of desert wine style. Lightly hoppy finish. Very pleasant and classical Dutch Bock. 171006

Bottled. Dark brown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel, malts, weak metal and hops. Flavour is raisins, caramel, malts, toffee and slight metallicness. Aftertaste has lots of spices in it. Wellbalanced and smooth to drink. Carbonation is tonguetickling.

Bottled (BB 08/2006). Opaque black, not much head. Malts (rye bread), toasted malts and ash in the nose. Medium-bodied, malty, slightly sweet, some toasted notes. Carbonated.

[Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm] Hazy dark brown, minimal head. Fruity with a wealth of nutty malt and fairly loft mouthfeel. Light lysalty, dominated by malt with butterscotch and caramel as most distinguishable flavours. Somewhat vinous finish. Improved incredibly as it warmed.

Bottle (smuggled from the Netherlands by MoritzF): Huge rocky, brownish head, slowly diminishing, hazy, dark amber coloured;sweet grainy nose, fresh rye-bread, sour-dough; sweet-caramelly flavour, medium bodied; sweetish-malty, a bit vinous finish with a faint, but lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Well hidden alcohol. O.K., echt lekker !

(bottle, traded with bierkoning) Slightly hazy ruby red-amber colour with a nice and stable foamy off-white head. Dusty sweet malty aroma with fruits (citrus, dates). Sweet flavour, medium to full body, smooth mouthfeel. Very sweet , but not unpleasant malty start with a developing fruitiness that lingers into the moderately bitter finish. Lecker !
