Bottle: Poured a dark hazy brown color ale with a generous head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry raisin and candy with light fruity ester is quite enticing. Taste is a nice mix between some dry raisins with nice candy notes and balanced residual sugar with light fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed and quite enjoyable even if there is still a margin between this and Rocherfort.

66 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 2014
Aroma is rather nice with lots of licorice and some coffee notes. Flavour has ash, some licorice and distant tobacco notes. A bit too much CO2 on palate. Too ashy but decent anyway.

Bottle as Papsø 15k. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate sweet and bitter flavor. Some dark fruitry notes but sweetness is in front of taste. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle, thx to Papsoe. There’s lots of floaties in this one, else it’s semi-clear, dark golden and topped by a minimal sized off-white to light beige head. Dark sugars, prunes, honey, some tobacco and hints of tea on the nose. The flavor is sweet, with some caramel, as well as prunes and honey. Full-bodied, soft and warming, finishing rather sweet. Overall, too much on the sweet side, but quite tasteful and pleasant anyway. 120314

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It pours a dark reddish brown body under a two-finger light tan head. Almost clear. The aroma has chocolate, some faint coffee notes, dried fruits and quite a lot of caramel. There’s a pleasant bitterness in the flavor, balancing the caramel, dried fruits and chocolate, leading to a roasted and bitter finish where some coffee notes shows up. Medium to full body, a bit flat. Strange, there’s carbonation, but it still feels flat, sort of like if the beer have been frozen. It’s a nice one anyway. 111229

Bottle 66 cl. Pours a cloudy deep golden with an off-white head. Fresh and floral hop aroma. Medium body, fairly sweet malts, very fruity with a solid if somewhat minerally hoppiness if not exactly bitter. Enjoyable. 270812

Aroma is a bit weird with some fruits, apricot and hints of hay. Flavour is somewhat tart with peaches, apricots, hops, some citron and hints of wheat. Not the most typical Golden Ale, but I find it hard to figure out what other style this could represent.
