Bottle. Color: Clear golden, frothy white head. Taste: Fruity, licorice, yeast and hints of cloves. Medium sweet, lightly bitter. Long lasting finish, pretty dry mouthfeel. Medium to high carbonation.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and Hrabren. Unclear orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head, eucalyptus nose. Slightly perfumed eucalyptus, notes of coriander and spices with some alcohol in the finish. Interesting in a way but since I’m not koala this one isn’t for my taste.

Huge thanks ippoppotamo! Batch 21, apparently the best one. Shared with Ogi and Hrabren. Murky amber, lively carbonation, lasting small white head. Apple compote and eucalyptus in the aroma, slightly malty, pungent. Light, dry taste, perfumey, cloves aroma, light soft body, chewed up bubblegum and, of course, eucalyptus. Interesting, extremely glad to have tasted it, but it’s not my type of beer I guess. Though it’s actually quite drinkable and somewhat refreshing for the ABV, which is respect-worthy!

At Maakun’s. Shared from bottle. Hazy amber with off white head. Sweet malts, big on eucalyptus, lemon peel, almond, spices, ginger, sugar, alcohol, yeastbomb. Medium sweet, light bitter. Medium body, strong carbonation. Vegetal / herbal bittersweet finish. Very unique.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Hazy orange golden with big but short lasting fizzy white head. Massive eucalyptus candy on the nose! Sweet malts, eucalyptus candy, light yeast, almond liquor, lemon rind, ginger, marmalade. Medium sweet and light bitter. Over medium bodied with quite some fizzy carbonation.

F: big, white, good retention. C: orange-gold, hazy, opaque. A: malty, orange peels, spicy, eucalyptus, milk tones, mint. T: malt, orange, eucalyptus, spicy, mint, hint of milk, herbal, medium body, lively carbonation, I like this way mint in beer and this is good balanced, but can´t be comparable with Belgian examples and it´s a pity, 33cl bottle from Prik&Tik/Quali-drinks/ in Brussels.

Gekocht op 20-5-2016 bij dranken Maes te Dendermonde. Uitgeschonken op 3-9-2016. Opgelet 'gusher' alarm! Net niets uit het flesje gekomen (wat ben ik snel). Als je het bekijkt is Tre Fontane een wazig geel-goud biertje dat een gebroken wit schuim geeft in een grote hoeveelheid, het is opgebouwd uit grove bellen en ziet er dik-wollig uit. Het zakt daarna toch in elkaar, normaal wandklevend. Interressant aroma; de eucalyptus overheerst alles, verder heeft Tre Fontane een zoet-moutig aroma wat een beetje doet denken aan die vroegere zwarte rekkers (drop) en ook iets van dennenaalden die op de BBQ liggen. De basissmaak is zoet, bitterheid is niet waar te nemen voor mij en ook de eucalyptus staat vooraan in de smaak, ook lichtjes een toets van alcohol. In de mond zorgt Tre Fontane voor een volle smaak, een volmondige textuur en een ietsje prikkelend koolzuurgas. Toch zou ik het een harmonieus biertje willen noemen, de eucaliptus overheerst wel maar is niet overdadig. De nasmaak vloeit uit en is fris-zoet en kruidig (door de eucalyptus?). Tis eens iets anders, de eucalyptus heb je graag of niet maar als je die graag lust is het wel een lekker biertje.

Hazy medium amber colour, small frothy white head, dissipates quickly, thin layer remains, light lacing. Strong herbal nose, pale malts, anise, some eucalyptus. Sharpish taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity notes, quite spicy, yeasty. Herbal sweetbitter aftertaste, peppery notes, medium body, oily texture, above average carbonation. Not completely in balance, acceptable.

An exciting moment, a new trappisti in the glass. A yellow beer with a brown notes, a head is big and blond. Aroma has strong spicyness, camomilla, flowers, some caramel. Taste has strong spicyness, also peppers in the end, camomilla, some flowers. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Strongly spicy. Not a top quality beer, but unique and thus ok for a trappist.
