Opague black colour instead of brown like the name would make one expect. Not a lot of smell. A bit hoppy and very sweet taste.

Black opaque color. Not that much smell. Sweet taste with low body and low carbonation.

Orange yellow color. White head, fading rather quickly. Sweet nose, malts and corn. Sweet corn flavour, very light on hops. Mostly just watery and bland. Could be refreshing, if that is the main quality you look for in beer. But in such occasion I’d rather suggest ordering tap water. Really boring. (from 33cL bottle)

Draught. Clear, golden with a white head. Rather light, fine carbonation. Neutral aroma, a touch of hops. Moderately sweet, light bitter flavour. Good to quench your thirst, not the best pilsner ever.

(Draught at some restaurant in Amsterdam, 1 Aug 2010) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, hay and slightly grassy hops. Malty nose with bread, hay and grassy hops in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry with some kind of grassy bitterness. Mass produced, generic, pale lager. Drinkable however.

Can from the Deen market in Volendam. Pours pale gold with a foamy white head. Rather odd nondescript aroma. Flavor is more like a pale lager than a pils. It’s a bit grainy. There is a taste of noble hop. Pass.

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, quite stable creamy white head; sweetish corny-grainy nose with a peppermint-like background; light bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied as expected; thin bitter-sweet finish. Another glorious product from InBev.....
