Description
In May 1867, the Leinenkugel family brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin by Jacob Leinenkugel. He was a family man driven by an iron work ethic, and he knew that his German family heritage would play an integral part of his brewery’s success. Today, the sixth generation of Leinenkugels continues to brew some of the same family-inspired recipes that Jacob poured his heart and soul into. Over the years, our family has grown and so has our brewery, but our history and heritage remain at the forefront.

bottle thanks to JCapriotti pours thick black with a medium tan head. Aroma is light soy sauce, roasted malt, some chocolate. Flavor is big roasted malt, sweet cream, peanuts, and a little soy sauce in the finish. It’s not overpowering(soy sauce.) This is a nice beer, very solid RIS for a macro.

Bottle. clear brown body with red highlights. Frothy, tan headk mostly diminishing. Mild roasty, coffee aroma. Hints of milk chocolate, herbs, earthiness and charcoal. The flavor is lightly bitter, lightly acidic and lightly to moderately sweet. It finishes lighlty sweet, lightly acidic and lightly bitter. Light to medium body, thin, watery texture and lively carbonation. A beer with the name creamy dark needs to have more body and a, well, creamier mouthfeel. Instead, the flavors are watered down as is the palate.

Bottle. A very generic beer. Totally drinkable, but just nothing special to distinguish this brew. Pours a light brown-gold with a quickly dissapating head. Aroma of light, sweet malts. Flavor is metallic, malty, with some mild roast on the tail.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a fading tan head and a brown body. Aroma of maple, horse and nutshells. Taste is nutty, dry, caramel, and not that good [my notes are a bit more...uhh..to the point]. Not repeatable.

Nice look - deep brown coloured body of cola tint and a nice thinnish tan head. Aroma of malt, metal, light fruit and not much else - pretty bland in the nose. Light-bodied; Funky cardboard and metallic malt flavour with some rice, cherries and a slight off-taste and not much else - very bland indeed. Aftertaste shows just about nothing, maybe cardboard and cherries, but not much more. Overall, a pretty bland beer - not much to not dislike, but simply not much to enjoy! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits on 15-February-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 23-February-2010.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear light brown with amber highlights and off-white head that dissapates quickly. Taste is toasted malt and some hazelnut. Palate is a little thin, but carbonation is nice, pretty good beer.

bottle - Pours clear light amber with a one finger, quickly dissipating head and a nutty, toasted caramel malt aroma. Tastes of sweet caramel malt and nuts. It’s pretty mild and definitely too thin. Drinkable. Unimpressive.

12oz can. Filtered watery yellow color with an impressive foamy head. The aroma is stale macro beer factory. Creamy light body, pretty weak carbonation. Slightly less offensive than some other cheap beers, this is still pretty sub-par and unimpressive stuff. There is a semblance of creamy, sweet lager tones, but they are awash in dirty, grainy, cheap ingredients. Easily sessioned, preferable to a lot of other BMC stuff I suppose.
