Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear vibrant amber color with a medium sized frothy white head. Hours head retention and nice lacing. Toasted malt aroma with herbal hops and a bit of caramel. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, stone fruits and a bitter herbal hop finish. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Very nice beer.

Weak charred oak aroma. Cloudy brown, thin yellow head. Malt flavor, late appearance of fig and molasses. Sweeter than expected for a dry stout.

Funk and lemon zest aroma, moderate strength. Clear amber, thin head. Flavor is a good level of funk, lemon, and orange. Orange peel finish. A very nice BPA.

Aroma is toast and tree bark. Clear brown, no head. Dry astringent tree bark flavor. Cola-like, but not sweet. Soft, easy carbonation.

Growler from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville, VA. Pours a nearly pitch black color with a medium sized creamy dark brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel and roastiness. The taste is chocolate, roasted malts, sweet malts, caramel and a milky note. Something almost banana-like in their as well. Bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Quite nice.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention and good lacing. Aroma of nutty notes, grain and chocolate. The taste is chocolate, grain and bitter hops. Slight lingering bitterness, light body, heavy carbonation.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria bottle ($3): Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is nondescript lager smell and the taste is much the same in that regard. It is a little sweet, with a little bit of grain in there. Mostly a malty lager. Perfectly drinkable, but by no means exceptional.
