Cask. Goldeny amber colour with a small white creamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is zest, some toffee, mild herbal and grassy notes. Flavour is quite similar, but has a nice sweetish malty edge to it and also a mild yeasty/spicy touch to it. Good thirst quencher, although a bit on the sweet side.

Handpull cask at the Stamford Arms, Groby. Very dark brown. Almost black. Light cream/khaki head with considerable lacing. Aroma of light coffee, liquorice, sulphur. Sweet malty taste with astringent bitterness in the latter half of the sip. Light oily body lifted by natural carbonation. In perfect condition which of course helps. Not the best mild in the world but not bad by any stretch.
