750ml wired cork bottle. Opened with a loud pop! Sparkling, golden colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of fleshy pear. Taste is tart, pear, fleshy with woody, funk, acidic, fruity and drying tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable

750ml wired cork bottle. 2011 Vintage, Dry. 7.5%. Opened with a loud pop. Orangey golden colour, fizzy white foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of tangy apple, barnyard, funky, caramel hints. Taste is tart, juicy apple, orchardy, tangy, apple core & skin, with leathery funk, solventy and caramel notes, plus earthy tannin. Medium bodied, sprity carbonation, dry tannic finish Nicely drinkable.

Bottle split at CCV, cheers, Cotteridge Wines 08/06/19. Almost clear golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is musty wood, apple skins, tannins, damp straw. Taste comprises tangy apple, wild orchard, funk, barnyard esters, hay bale. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid.

375ml bottle from Slurp. 2015 Vintage. 10.5%. Orange gold colour, no head and aroma of concentrated pear, syrup. Taste is sweet and slightly tart, fruity, pear, fleshy, syrupy, pastry, caramel, mellow, honey, drying. Oily mouthfeel, full bodied, low carbonation, dry peary boozy finish. 75cl bottle from Scrattings. Shared with Soph before racking off our first cider. Pours a vivid deep blood red. Aroma bears red grape schloer, blackcurrant. Gently effervescent carbonation, delicate but welcome pinot noir influence alongside some pithy apple core and deft dabinett nuances.. good fruity crรจmant freshness about this with a lightly tart acidity. Interesting, definitely blurs the lines between cider and sparkling wine. Good stuff.

BIAB at York Beer & Cider Festival 2019. Clear golden amber colour, no head and aroma of oily funky apple. Taste is tangy, mellow apple, syrupy with spicy tannins. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry spicy tannic finish. Nicely drinkable

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Fergoose, 21/03/19. Pale golden blonde with a decent cap of white bubbles. Nose is crisp apple, pear drop, light funk, wooded tones. Taste comprises more pear esters, grass, sharp apple skins, light tannins. Medium bodied, fine spritzy carbonation, drying close. Decent.

500ml bottle from Gloucester Services M5. Drunk at Wimbleball Lake. Pours a reddish gold with a light mist. Gentle blackberry nose, alongside some medium apple fruit. Not overly sweet and commercial, like other blackberry fruited ciders, some pleasant natural berry fruit here with a good medium apple presence. Perhaps a little more blackberry would be welcome.
