On tap at flying saucer. Pours a very dark brown with a small frothy light off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a faint fruity malt. Thin mouthfeel with a dry malt with raisin and licorice. Not too much going on with this one.

First Snowfall of the Season tasting in Odense. Black with a lasting off-white head. Nothing but cheap cola in the nose. Sweet cloying cola flavour with artificial sweetener. A faint hint of malt in the finish

Bottle. Dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and some sugar. The same in the taste. Medium body, quite thin mouth feel. Remembered it as better than this.

On tap at The Front Door, Boise, I’D. Black pour, of course, in a strange tall tulip glass. Fine, smooth light tan head that is easily coaxed up a bit more with a few swirls. Slightly sour vinous aroma, grapes maybe with surprisingly little roasted notes. Flavror is mild roasted and light pitted fruit. Light bodied, lively carbonation, and a soft roasted aftertaste. I M not very familiar with this style, but easily quadfable for a very dark brew.

500ml can. Dark brown with a large beige head that fades a tad but laces well. Chocolate, caramel, grass, nut oil, a little roast. Thinnish body. Not particularly sweet with toasty malt, nuts and a little chocolate. Modest balancing bitterness that leads to a dry finish. A little coffee creeps in there too. Nicely balanced but not very exciting.
