Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Skyview. Pours deep golden with a slight haze and a lacing off-white head. Lovely citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, sweet and fruity with a massive hop astringency, really a tastebud killer. Massive bitterness in the finish. 140212

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into an English Pint. Pours black with a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of coffee, caramel and roasty malt. Taste is light bitter. Coffee and caramel. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long coffee finish. Overall, I’m digging this beer. Great for tonight when it’s a solid 15 degrees outside.

Pours a nice reddish-amber. Floral, hoppy aroma. Nice IPA-like flavor of hops and citrus, coupled with a roasted malt undertone.

12oz bottle-trade with dmac-pours gold with an offwhite head. Aroma is lemon zest, some light malt. Taste is lemon zest/resin hops, 2nd light malt-bready.

Draft. Clear golden color, medium off white head, solid lacing. Aroma of subtle straw. Taste is similar, with moderate bitterness. Too plain.

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thank you! Black, bright tan head, delicate lacing. Aroma of intense pine, charcoal, burnt cocoa. Taste is bitter coffee, pine resin, dark chocolate. Very nice.

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thanks! Cloudy golden brown color, large fluffy white head with good retention. Aroma of grass, earth, summer fruit. Taste is malty and spicy rye bread, bitter and very dry finish.. Nice.

WARNING: This bottle literally exploded when I opened the first one, as in half the neck came off with the cap. 12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a very cloudy dark gold with about 2 fingers of thick white head. Aroma of honey and a little peppery spice and some Muscat grapes. Taste is light bitter and very light sour. Sour green grapes with some pepper and a good bit of honey. Medium bodied with a somewhat light texture. Lively carbonation and an oddly sour finish. Overall, not bad. Probably not something I would drink again but I’ll finish the 6-pack eventually.

It is black, with a long lasting ring of foam. Flavor has some fruit and light hops. Flavor is well hopped also, but balanced by well roasted malt. Dry, lightly charred quality to the finish. Not nearly what the pumpkin porter was last year at this time, but a solid beer.

Aroma: The nose is mostly yeast and spice, with some lemon zest and wheat notes
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a thick foam of white head and some lace
Flavor: The taste is light-medium sweet, it is fairly heavy on yeast and spice, with a just a little bit of funk
Palate: Light-medium bodied, with a lively carbonation, and a finish that is tingly, spicy, and slightly metallic
Overall Impression: Overall, this one falls a bit short. I didn't really find that honey presence they claimed was there at all. Beyond the lack of promised honey, it isn't a terrible Saison, but it isn't a good one either. The finish is a touch off as well, which takes away from the beer.
