Draught at Ike’s at the airport. Nice rich roasty nose, oatmeal, chocolate. Sweet, rich malt flavor, chocolate and cream. Nice and thick, creamy body. Good hop and burnt malt finish. Very nice.

12 ounce bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of nutty notes, chocolate and leafy hops. The taste is bitter leafy hops, nutty notes, chocolate and honey. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a clear amber with about 1 finger of white head. Lots of little carbonation bubbles fizzing all over the place. Aroma is very hoppy. Citrus and piney notes dominate. Taste is medium-heavy bitter, mostly sprucy hops come through. Light bodied with a creamy yet oily texture, average carbonation with a long bitter finish. Overall, it’s pretty darn good. Decently priced decent beer. I would buy it again.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan. Thin, creamy off white head. Sweet honeydew aroma, some faint orange soda. Sweet fruit tones, almost tropical, quite pleasantly balanced by the honey, which really gives the golden malt backbone some depth. A really great Saison, this is fresh and true to style, while being sort of unique at the same time. Quite peppery and bitter, very hop forward.

The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, nuts, a bit of a lactic note and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Well balanced. Quite good.

Draft at Sweeney’s, St. Paul. Light brown color and a tall, thick white head. Big aromasa of clove and yeast. Flavor is herbal with more yeast, prairie grass, cloves, and light spice. Medium sweet. Good.

12oz bottle. Aroma was light, sweet malt notes. Enjoyable sweet notes, malts, mild slightly earthy hops. Slightly bitter, sweet notes. Highly drinkable on a hot day, but nothing to call home about. Worth getting in a variety pack.
