We are dually focused on barrel-aged mixed-fermented beers and fresh hoppy ales. Founded on our shared passions for brewing science, delicious flavors, and the craft of beer production, we brew beers that are balanced, drinkable, and highly aromatic without tongue-scraping bitterness or piercing sourness. Beer should be a pleasure to savor, not a challenge to conquer!

Bottle shared by Joe, thanks! Pours black with a thin brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a nice coffee and roasted malts with a growing bourbon and a touch of bitter dark grains supporting. Flavor has strong dark grains and bourbon with a bitter coffee and a hint of roasted malts backing.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lovely, lots and lots of chocolate milk, good roast, vanilla, caramel, very nice! MF: ok carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: sugary, alcohol, lots of caramel, alcohol, gentle roast, sweet, vanilla, a bit oxidized. Aftertaste: a bit roasted, coffee, vanilla, more oxidation, caramel, maple syrup, a little bitter, pretty good roast in the finish, very pleasant one!

16 oz can. Can’t make any mistake that in the aroma there is rye brain. In the flavor is truly is like drinking liquid rye bread. Very mild hint of toasted grain in the finish. Medium body with a mild rye spice finish. Wow, that is something!
Feels like I should be chewing on pastrami with some mustard while I’m drinking this beer.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark amber/brown pour with a sturdy off-white head. I'll start off with this: This beer blew me away! Aroma and taste were full on dark rye bread with a ton of caraway. Mouthfeel was perfect, the right weight. I shared this can and now I regret that, I wanted the whole thing!
Note: we were experimenting with the bierstacheln (putting a heated rod in the glass). The result on this beer was more of a lightly toasted rye bread .

Bottle shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Typical look, nice viscosity, trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, red wine, peat. Taste is strong peat, red wine, oak. Smooth, thick, velvety texture, soft carb, finish as taste. Cabernet plays VERY nice with base stout.
