Welcome To Sapwood Cellars

We are dually focused on barrel-aged mixed-fermented beers and fresh hoppy ales. Founded on our shared passions for brewing science, delicious flavors, and the craft of beer production, we brew beers that are balanced, drinkable, and highly aromatic without tongue-scraping bitterness or piercing sourness. Beer should be a pleasure to savor, not a challenge to conquer!

16 oz can, aroma is moderate coconut with a hint of lime. Flavor follows with a nice lingering lime peel that transitions into vanilla bean. Nice soft mouth feel with lime peel that balances the sweetness. Flavor is heavy on a junk but… Real good!

16 oz can. Pours a bright caramel colored liquid, thin lasting head. Aroma is a strong amount of coffee and mild vanilla. Jeez, a German Altbier with coffee added! German brewers would riot if someone did this in Germany!! πŸ˜†. Flavor of earthy grain, mild toffee, with long lasting coffee finish. Lighter body and easy to drink.

Can (6/19/26) shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Hazy, golden honey brown, thin head with fair retention, light lacing. Aroma is sweet malt and bittersweet coffee (reminiscent of white stout). Taste is initial strong coffee (slight green pepper), mildly tart, back half earthy grain, caramel malt. Smooth, thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation, lightly bitter coffee and malty finish. As it should be. Coffee definitely amps up the interesting factor.

Taste is biscuit malt forward, more subtle sweet/tart fruit, suggestion of weak caramel. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, dry, biscuity finish. Enjoyed the aroma more than the flavor. Good strength.
