So sometimes (or, often) when I get drunk I pull up Pandora or Youtube and sing along to some of my favorite music. As R.E.M.'s Orange Crush came along I remember this was in my fridge. Hazy orange, thin foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of orange and vanilla, kinda like a creamsicle. Taste is vanilla, orange, tangerine, passionfruit, pineapple. Medium bodied, crisp, low bitterness. Orange crushable. Solid beer.

Very crisp, pure golden coloured body with a slight haze to it, but a nice two centimetre tall, just off-white head that does fade fast and leave just about nothing on top after just a few seconds. Aroma of grass, light malts, some citrus and a dash of grain and a lot of floral hoppiness that does show a nice bitterness in the nose, especially for the style. Light-bodied; Very crisp grassy and floral notes dominate the flavour, with a smooth, relatively easy-drinking, yet flavourful malt quantity with some very smooth and light sweetness, mainly from a touch of caster sugar, but also from some subtle stone fruits and a sprinkle of citrus, but those show more of a crisp and dry bite. Aftertaste shows some bread, yeast, crisp malts, grain and a touch of herbal notes with a light hop bitterness, some grassy finishes and a good hop bite that really shows at the end with fresh and crsip malts that are balanced out nicely. Overall, a relatively smooth, easy-drinking lager, with a bunch of flavours and surprisingly enough, a nice fresh hop characteristic that shows well, especially for a lager! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 28-August-2020 for US$3,32 sampled at my house here in Washington on 28-September-2020.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice, relatively thick three to four centimetre tall almost pure white head on top that fades fairly slowly, but still leaves a small off-white lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of deep roasted malt with some coffee and light earthiness, but a ton of nuttiness showing hazelnuts and a lot of lightly roasted, brewed coffee. Medium-bodied; Strong rich deep malts dominate with a lot of caramelised sugar and toffee notes everywhere, with a slight pungent bitterness from the chocolate and earthiness with a slight metallic twang and robust creaminess from the malts and light lactose throughout this in entirety. Aftertaste shows the deep bitterness and grainy notes with a lot of malt and caramelised sugars here and a light dose of other, more subdued fruit notes, but the pungency is relatively strong, however the coffee and nutty flavours dominate throughout with thi sone. Overall, a nice and relatively strong beer with a good nutty and earthy flavour that can be used regularly when there is no shopping to be done here. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from the Crystal City Wine Shop in Arlington, Virginia on 03-April-2020 for US$2,96 sampled at my house here in Washington on 13-June-2020.

$4.70 pint can, WW... a bit expensive for a light lager. Hazy pale gold with a small white head, a few small chunks floating. Grassy, almost minty (but not quite) nose. Flavor is grasses, corn... that's it. Way overpriced.

Popped/exploding can. On a move of the can, a corner popped up and I immediately put it in the fridge. The next day, I opened the top and it exploded open and about 1/3 of the product made it into the sink. Super crazy deep orange, peach and bronze coloured body, all one hundred per cent opaque, super hazy with a very funky, ultra-fast-dying head that was tan and about eight centimetres tall at first (for what I caught in the glass) that faded immediately about ten seconds later to literally nothing. Aroma of oranges, peaches, funky brett, soured grapes, a good deal of malts and yes, a ton of lactobilly notes that are easilly the strongest with the lactose and vanilla right behind. Medium-bodied; Very strong creamy, milky, chewy profile that show the coconut cream, lactose, vanilla, cream, vanilla and even nutty profile (think rich cashews that are mild flavoured) that has a noticeable amount of fruit in the form of mangoes, oranges, pears and yes, peaches in the mix. Aftertaste is rich, super pungent, very sweet and incredibly fruity with the coconuts dominating in the form of the coconut milk, but pears, apples, oranges and peaches do come out in the fructose variety. Overall, a very strong and incredibly fruity beer that shows way more as 'mimosa' than as a fruit beer, but in context of the beer, the peaches, lactose and coconut were all nice, especially if you like one or all three of those! Despite the exploding can and losing about one third of the beer down my sink (after exploding), this was interesting and fairly nice. If I had to do it all over again, I'd drink it the first few minutes after buying, but barring that, I'm glad I opened it before the top really exploded and beer went everywhere in my cellar. I sampled this sixteen ounce can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 21-August-2020 for US$5.66 sampled at my house here in Washington on 31-August-2020, just ten days later. So, if you have this one and you see this, drink it now, otherwise, it will probably explode.

Rating #6500. $5.20 pint can, WW. Thick and black, soft dark brown head. Chocolate, toasted nuts, vanilla, cocoa nose. Flavor is rich, sweet dark chocolate, roasted nuts, milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, cocoa, light ash and char. Rich and thick, tons of flavor. A good milestone rating, but perhaps a bit too much.
