Description
Blaze Brewing in Biddeford, ME., sits at the end of Pearl Street, in a newly renovated former mill building, overlooking the dam on the Saco River. We provide fresh food and an ever changing draft list, with menu items and beer for all tastes and palettes. Blaze offers both indoor and outdoor dining (weather permitting), with a comfortable setting: outdoor dining offers views of the Saco River, and indoor dining offers the ambiance of vintage brick and mortar, post and beam construction, a nod to the history of the building and area, but renovated for modern comfort.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: orange in color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet to tart oranges, pithy and a nice balance from vanilla/marshmallow sweetness
Flavor: great balance between tart to sweet to sour qualities of the oranges & vanilla/marshmallow sweetness with a touch of spice from the cinnamon; finishes orangey and marshmallow sweet
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning to being sessionable as the marshmallow seems to really push down any tart or sour assertiveness
Overall: nicely done pastry sour ale that might be a decent starter sour for some people.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy yellow to almost orange color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: guavas, mangoes and a touch of pineapples, light yeasty scent, super subtle lemon further underneath
Flavor: tart to sour to sweet blending the prior noted aromas together; finishes slightly guava and mango-like with some tart features
Texture: light to medium bodied, between sessionable and being a sipper: light smoothness but some tart assertiveness to the tongue
Overall: nicely done fruited tart ale with some light sour aspects to it.

Can to mug.
Appearance: golden yellow in color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: biscuity maltiness with some light floral/herbal hops
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a light herbal sweet character; finishes somewhat like tea with a light floral tone
Texture: light bodied, sessionable, pretty smooth along the tongue
Overall: I'd say a pretty nicely done Kellerbier worthy of coming back to.

Canned. Muddy brown pour. Looks like old iced tea or coffee. No head. Some cracker, malt, berry. Honestly not great. Like a hard Yoohoo!

Pours dark brown into a tulip. Mocha pancake head with little retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Bananas flambe and fudge aromas. Medium bodied with sweet chocolate syrup, banana and a touch of peanut butter front to back. Lasting sweet nutty espresso finish.
