Cask at the Brickmakers Arms, Brierley Hill. Pours light golden with a tight, large head. Aroma is citrus hops. Pale malt start, light fruity hoppy finish. Smooth and full but not the best in Britain IMO.

Cask, handpump at The Eagle, High Street, Lincoln 22.09.10 I was sure that this was 4.2% on the pumpclip but the Castle Rock website states 4.8% so we’ll defer to that. After a hefty long walk to this pub from the centre of Lincoln, I never realised a High Street could be so long. we found this pub and what seemed an outlet for a few of the Castle Rock stable of beers. This poured amber touch hazy with a white head. There was some sweetness, and a malty tang, bit chewy, caramel and toffee showing, it was ok. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. DArk yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Grape and grassy notes. Moderate bittter very nice flavor. Grassy and pine notes. Average moderate bitter ffinish. Oily palate. Very nice beer.

Cask (handpump) @ Alexandra Hotel, 203 Siddals Road, Derby, Derbyshire England DE1 2QE.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, nutty, caramel, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100117]

Cask at GBBF 2010. A golden coloured pour with a small white head. Hoppy, malty aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, bitter, fruity. Good for a session beer.

From cask at GBBF 2010. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is peachy and mild citrusy. Crisp hops fruity and bitter. Lasting peachy and citrusy hops flavours. Goes dry, crisp fruity and lasting into the finish. Lovely.

From cask. Pours dark brown with no lasting head. Roasted malt and breadish. Roasted malt, mild fruity and with a light bitterness coming through. Crisp fruity bitterness into the finish.

Cask: Pale golden to golden, creamy and lacy white head; moderate to solid fruity (lemons) and bitter-hoppy nose with a light "woody" touch; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied; slightly lingering fruity (lemons) and pale-malty finish with a light hoppy aftertaste. Not great, but of solid quality......
