Cask at The Alexandra Hotel, Derby A spectacularly clear and bright pint, with a refreshing citrus flavour. When I compared my notes I found I had given it exactly the same rating as the bottled version.

Cask @ GBBF 2006. Pale yellow colour with a small white head. Fruity aroma with some citrus hints. Fruity malty flavor with hints of grapefruit. Dry finish with some bitterness.

[Cask at GBBF] Clear golden. Light citric hops dominate the nose. Medium sweet and light bodied with rounded, somewhat soapy mouthfeel. Pleasant notes of sparkling orange juice. Medium bitterness.

Cask at Rook & Gaskill York 5 May 06. Extremely dark red. A shortlived head. A bit watery - but a lot of taste considering the strength. A good mild.

Cask handpull at Vat and Fiddle, Nottingham. Gold beer with tight white head. Fresh citrus aroma, light in mouth. Very nice golden session beer. Bit of citric bite on end with clean, crisp, fresh grapefruit

Cask handpull at Notts BF 05. Dark chestnut, beige head. Odd mix of dark malts. Good dry finish. Don’t know what to make of it. Some good acids. Strange beer.

Cask handpull at Notts BF 05. Very dark chestnut with lasting beige head. Roasted malts on nose, slightly sweet in mouth. Finish is very good with sweet coffee, some bitter choc. Good dark beer.
