Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, beige head. Distinct peaty aroma, some tar in there. Rich, malty body, sweet roast, chocolatey but the peated smoke dominates everything. Usually not a fan of peat, but it somehow works here. A very "manly" beer. 231215

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Christmas Tasting. It pours clear deep amber with a small off-white head. The nose is toasted grain, ginger, musty, cracker, cheap bread and rivita, The taste is drying upfront, toasty, earthy, rivita, fiery ginger, festive spice, mint and mild acidity. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty basic. No real depth or balance. A bit messy.
