Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas / post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Cheers! Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. Big spice aroma, notes of gingerbread, lime zest, bread. Light to medium sweet flavour with pale bready malts, wintery spices, more ginger and zesty citrus fruits. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with continuing holiday spice character, and lightly toasted bread. Not bad for a spicer.

Bottle from supermarket. Pours hazy pale yellow with a little white head that recedes into a discontinuous layer. The aroma is lemon, citrus, grassy, a bit yeasty. The taste is light sweet and medium bitter, the palate is a bit oily, medium to high carbonation.

Murky amber, small light beige head. Malty aroma with soft spicyness. Flavour is malty and has notes of bitter orange and christmas cookie spice. Not my thing.

Bottle on "J-dag". Pours hazy dark amber with small offwhite head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, orange peel, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, coriander seeds and bitter grapefruit. Taste is light to medium sweet, medium bitter and light acidic. Body is light creamy with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and slightly more bitter than sweet with notes of grapefruit, orange, mandarin, aromatic Asian spices and a touch of cookies. Nicely balanced.

Kochsgade Friday afternoon tasting in November. Hazy golden with a small white head. Malty aroma with a fruity touch and a litte earthy character. Sweet fruity and spicy flavour with a hint of the dusty Vestfyen house flavour
