50cl bottle from trade with fonefan, many thanks! Pours dark red brown with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel and licourice. Taste is sweet, brown sugar, licource, caramel.

From trade with fonefan, many thanks! Pours hazy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma of coffee, nuts, citrus, hops. Taste of coffee, sweet malt, caramel, sugar.

Bottle @ Home. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of light yeast, yeasty, sweetness, sugar, sweet fruit, alcohol, some honey or mead. Flavor is sweet, light malt, yeast, sugary, fruit, honey. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 040915

clear amber brown, small offwhite head. Nutty aroma, some malts, like a classic european barley wine. flavor is nutty, boozy, malts, hopped european style with no flowers or other hop driven flavors, except perhaps a little bitterness. If you like this kind of beer it is actually quite okay.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth’s pre-GBBF tasting 2015 - London. Pours hazy dark gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds doughy bread and light caramel. Medium sweet flavor, a little papery, grainy. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry on the finish, with touches of leather, grain and faint coffee. So so.

Hazy copper with a small off-white head. Malty aroma of caramel and burned sugar with a fruity note, and a little cardboard off-note. Sweet malty and fruity flavour with notable, sharp alcohol
