Description
La Brasserie Stéphanoise is an establishment located in Saint-Étienne intramural, in the Bellevue district. We invite you to discover our craft beers. They are made in limited quantities, respecting traditions and using quality ingredients. You will also be able to discover our many services linked to this passion.

We are located on the site of a former brewery that produced Mosser beer. At the origin of this place, La Société des Brasseries de la Loire (SBL) was born from the merger of several breweries, from 1860 to 1955. The Mosser family, who arrived from Alsace in the mid-19th century, set up their first business. in Bellevue on a 20,000 m² plot (the current Mosser site). In 1898, the SBL brought together the Mosser and Oppermann Brasseries. In 1922, with the takeover of the Brasserie Nationale, the SBL became the only Brasserie Stéphanoise. She would later identify herself under the single name Mosser. After WWII, this Brasserie collapsed and closed its doors in the 1960s.

The Brasserie Stéphanoise is the result of the meeting of two initiatives: The Association Copains-Chopines and La Houblonnerie, which produced the Glütte beers. This is why we offer two ranges of beers whose names are logically inherited from these origins.

Bottle. Slight hazy golden with almost white head. Bready malts, orange, flowery hops, light peach, spruce, light yeasty. Medium sweet, solid bitter and a light sour touch. Medium bodied. Not really great as an IPA, but as a local organic beer it's sort of OK.
