Description
Don't tell him beer is a guy's drink. Marjorie Jacobi is a girl, she loves jewelry, the color purple and beer! In 2009 she opened her own micro-brewery business and joined the very closed circle of female brewers. There are less than fifteen in France and Marjorie is surely the most rock'n roll of all.

In the village of Blainville-sur -Eau, Marjorie's house can be seen from afar. Purple shutters, flashy flowers and a garden gnome perched on the window. She even renamed the street after her microbrewery: Paradise. Marjorie launched her brewing in her kitchen. The computer scientist slashes everything and becomes a full-time "brewer".

A few meters from the vats, Marjorie has opened a small bar where you can taste her beers "but not every day, because hey ... Besides, there is not much stock." Proud of its success, the "stirrer-brewer" plans to expand and open a terrace this summer. Health, happiness, prosperity! She has found her paradise.

250 ml. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is big on fruity hops, lots of them with lots of bitter orange peel faint medicinal hops but mainly bitter orange peel with touch sweetish flowers. Taste is strong bitter orange peel upfront, flowers, touch sweetish malts, faint candy, candy, strong bitterness but combined with strong malt sweetness as well, faint medicinal hop bitterness in the finish,… Creamy malty body. I figured this for a quite solid IPA but apparently according to RB this is a saison.

330 ml. bottle @ home. Purchased @ Malt Attacks. BBF 02/12/2016. Dark red fruit amber, faint off-white head. Nose is sweetish, light candy-like strawberry, red fruit & pine resin hops, sweetish red fruits with a distinct USA hop profile. Taste is red fruit / strawberry hops with a creamy sweeter malt, light candy base followed by dry, pine resin, light grass, dry pine,… Creamy thick IPL body. Maybe a touch too sweet but a lovely mix of red fruit strawberry hop notes mixed with typical dry pine resin, cork-dry USA hop profile,.. Light candy like sweetness upfront. Creamy upfront but really dries out your mouth,… Light rubbery very dry bitterness in the back. Not perfect but very nice all the same. I do have a fondness of IPL’s. Another nice Paradis beer.

Draft @ ML Fontainas. Waiter tells me it is a Dunkelweiss, well, adding wheat does not make it so. This is more akin to a Black IPA, and that’s still up for debate.
