Description
Brixton Brewery is one of London’s established craft breweries, making beer in the heart of one of London’s most colourful and famous neighbourhoods. We were founded in 2013 by two local couples, Jez and Libby and Mike and Xochitl, but our shared passion for beer started years before that, when we met in the old Hive Bar (now Craft Beer Co. Brixton), and bonded over newborn babies, and a dream of opening a brewery. We reckoned that every great neighbourhood deserves a great brewery, and we wanted to bring one to Brixton.

In 2017 Brixton Brewery announced the biggest news in its short history. That it had partnered with Heineken UK in a deal that would enable the business to open a second site in Brixton, boost capacity nearly tenfold from its 3,000hl site to up to 30,000hl, and significantly grow its team as a result.

As per 2021, Brixton is 100% owned by Heineken.

Brixton now only carry out small-scale brewing. Production brewing moved to Beavertown in September 2024.

Hazy pale golden, mid-sized loose frothy white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma pale malt, lemon, tangerine, hay. Mild taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, lemon, pineapple, paper, spicy notes. Light body, watery texture, thin mouthfeel, average carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, citrus peel, easy to drink, okay. --- Beer merged from original tick of Low Voltage Session IPA on 28 Feb 2020 at 23:00 - Score: Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 7 | Overall - 6. Blik gedeelt met Roelzie1986 en KoenvD. Het is een troebel geel bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een hoppige wat fruitige geur. De smaak hoppig, bloemig en fruitig.

Can from M&S. Golden in colour and slightly hazy, with a white head and moderate carbonation. Grapefruit and tangerine fruits, citrus hops, sweetish malts and a dryish finish. Good.
