Cask : a hazed dirty amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with strawberry notes, sweet and cloying, butterscotch, OK. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops, scotch character, OK. Cask at c’est what beer fest.

Bottle - Dark fruit, toasted malts and a nice toffee sweetness. Clear dark brown with a nice beige head. Sweet toffee, dark fruit and toast. Very nicely done.

Direct from fermenter, no age yet. Roast malts. Jet black with a bubbly brown head. Roast and bitterness. Long finish. Light bitter chocolate and some acidic notes. Not a fair rating as it isn’t finished, but will rerate when I can.

Draft - Sweet Christmas spices. Clear gold with a rich white head. Spice is very much held in check. Pale malts come through and a pleasant sweetness. Smell is deceptively strong, but overall well balanced.

Draft - Lots of sweet tangerine and peel. Clear pale gold with a creamy white. Creamy wheat notes, and tangerine rind. Not nearly as sweet as I expected. Very well don for a fruity wheat.
