Bottle from Cornelius. Clear amber body with a thin white head that quickly fades. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of tangerine, honey and gooseberry. Flavour of bitter marmalade, sweet roasted malt, orange and pine. Thin body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Darker, sweeter and hotter than I had hoped it would be.

Some light citrus and pepper. Pours mahogany clear without much head on cask. Light tangy mash finish. Cask at Churchkey, and I think it’s a few days old now.

Birch and Barley, DC cask: pours woody brown with a beige head. Aroma is nutty with light caramel. Taste is not hoppy at all. Lightly sweet and quite malty. Simple and very easy to drink. Good.
