Draft at brewery. Pale straw color, mild haze, thin skin of head. Light smoked malt aroma, not super burnt. Taste opens with a bit of sweet wheat, then switches over to the lightly smoked malts. Really nice. Would make a great gateway beer for full on rauchbiers.

On tap at Bellwether, pours an opaque bright orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is very oaky and herbal, with earthy spiciness, oak, and red fruits. Flavour is very oaky and complex, with wild yeast, oak barrels, red wine, and earthy spiciness. There's some bandaids and children's toys in here (dammit, Rachel, you Dave Shea'd me). Wow - this is intense and complex. Unusual array of spices and barrel elements really nail this. Awesome.

On tap at Bellwether, pours an opaque rusted red with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of wood upfront, followed by wild yeast and some rosemary. Flavour is very funky, with lots of wild yeast, oak barrels, and rosemary. Somehow this melding of elements works beautifully cohesively. Lovely.

On tap at Bellwether, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of floral honey upfront, accentuated with a touch of jasmine. Flavour is drier, with floral jasmine upfront, followed by fermented out honey and more floral notes. Really like the jasmine in here. The honey is nicely situated but I wouldn't mind more of it. Very nice.

On tap at Bellwether, pours a cloudy rusted red with a small white head. Aroma is... what the hell... lots of pizza tomato sauce and jalapeo. Flavour somehow works, with lots of tomato sauce, accentuated by ample jalapeo (without much spice), and fermented out honey. This shouldn't work, but it does. Fun and enjoyable beer.

On tap at Bellwether, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with truckloads of basil upfront, followed by lemon. Flavour is like smelling a basil plant in a garden, accentuated with floral notes and some gentle lemon. A total basil bomb that works.

On tap at Bellwether, pours a clear pinkish amber with a small white head. Aroma is wonderful, with bright basil and rosemary upfront, followed by light raspberry. Flavour is heavy on the raspberries upfront, quickly transitioning to rosemary and a touch of basil. This sounds shit on paper but is executed perfectly.

On tap at Bellwether, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a spicy, earthy hoppiness upfront, followed by fermented out honey, and earthy notes. Flavour is odd, with intense earthy spiciness, piney hops, fermented out honey, and some roast. What an unusual beverage. I like it.

On tap at Bellwether, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy spiciness upfront, followed by gentle honey, and herbal notes. Flavour is spicy and honey-ish, with lots of spicy twigs, earthy notes, a herbal character and light honey. What a strange melange of flavours - but it works somehow. Good stuff.

On tap at Bellwether, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of funky herbal notes, gentle honey, and some spiciness. Flavour is along the same lines, with gentle honey upfront, with herbal notes, and spiciness. Nice use of honey, even though it's mostly fermented out. Nice stuff.
