Description
The Lumberbeard Brewing story isn’t a complicated one. It is much like the way we like our beers: simple, straightforward, yet full of creative adventure.
Bret, our president and head brewer, fell in love with beer and the craft of brewing at the appropriate age of 21. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in economics, he pursued a sensible job in the finance world. It didn’t take long for him to realize that being at a desk was not for him and he wanted to become a professional brewer. That passion led him and his family to California where he went back to school to earn a Professional Brewing Certificate at University of San Diego. He swore he would never go back to school, but beer will make you do some crazy things. From there, Bret worked as a professional brewer for several years before taking the leap to open his own brewery in Spokane.
Lumberbeard Brewing was founded in 2018 and we are so excited to have you along for this crazy journey. We are committed to making excellent beers and desire to create a community where everyone feels welcome, cared for, and can find a beer they love!

16 oz can. Aroma is citrusy, piney, crackery, overripe strawberry, caramel. Pours hazy golden with a large soapy white head with good retention. Taste is moderately bitter with some light bready malt sweetness in support, finishing dry. Really well made, but these "pilsners" with New World hops don't taste like pilsners to me. They're more like IPL.

16 oz. can, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Nose has some doughy malt, fresh pine, and light dankness. Flavour has a pleasant, vibrant dank hop character, pine, and fresh doughy malt. Wonderfully hopped, beautifully balanced, and vibrant. Excellent.

Golden. Thin head. Big aroma has some lemony notes, some weedier stuff, maybe tobacco. Fairly bitter, and a minimal malt signature helps make it feel more bitter than it is. Some lemongrass and pear hop notes. Good balance, and the luminosa seems to come out quite well here. Good showcase.

473mL can. Pours clear pale gold with a white head. Light, floral pine, resins, and some dank oils on the nose. Flavour is very fresh with bright floral pine, dank oils, fresh grass, and a crisp bitter finish. Fantastic.

16oz can from Pilgrim's Market. Foggy, light amber pour, one finger foamy white head. Light malty, caramel aroma. Taste is caramel, mild sweetness. Soft, velvety feel. Mellow at first glance, but subtle flavors rise up to provide an extremely pleasant experience.
