On tap at Stone 17th anniversary party. It pours a clear golden body and a small white head. Pale malts and some fruityness in the aroma. Some piney hops. Dry, pleasantly carbonated, medium to thin on the palate. A light Belgian touch, bitterness, fruityness and pale malts in the flavor. Bitter finish. Very easy drinkable, but too thin I think. 130816

22oz bomber of 11.6% ABV barleywine goodness pours with a dark brown to amber body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up musty malts and blunted pine hops along with some floral hop notes and hop resin mixed with booze. The taste is a bit brash with resiny bitter pine hops, thick maltiness and some caramel as it rolls quickly into lime peel and floral hoppiness. All in all this is somewhat disjointed. Maybe a little cellar time will pull it together. It seemed the big ABV was pretty well hidden though.
