On tap at Fakin Craft Bar. Birthday party for the bar itself. Shared with Peh and Krama. Hazy dark amber to brown, moderate creamy off-white to tan head. Mostly malty, biscuit. Dried fruit, spices. Yeasty character subdued. Flavours are malty, spicy, toasty. Balance is good. Soft carbonation, medium body, light finish.

On tap at Gas Station, pours a hazy dark amber / chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, Belgian yeast and toasted nuts. Flavour is quite dry for a dubbel, showcasing the Belgian yeast nicely, with a moderate bitterness and some dark fruitiness. Not exactly an authentic one, but it drinks nicely enough.

On tap at Gas Station, pours an opaque bright orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry English flora hops and a soft biscuity malt. Flavour is quite dry, with subdued floral hopping and a very dry biscuity malt backbone. Reasonably balanced, with a very dry palate. Not overly exciting, but competently brewed.

On tap at Sir William's Pub, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out smoked malt upfront, followed by biscuity malt. Flavour is nice and smoky, with punchy campfire smoke and a crisp biscuity malt. Crisp and smoky. Nicely constructed and well-balanced. Very good.

Just a little dark beige head sitting atop a very black body (mmm hmmmm!). Smells of coffee cake, North American black licorice, tar from the Slovenian mines that were operated from 1947 until 1953. Flavour is roasted barley like the barrista forgot your order 4 hours ago and were patiently waiting for it. Watery on the mouth, the particles are just hovering there. It’s an average stout that does not reach apotheosis.

Tap at Fakin. Murky brown with a vague reddish tinge, skimpy creamy off white head. Creamy, full, caramelly, toffee aroma, yeasty touches. Malty taste, orange peel, yeastiness, caramel, ends dry. Slightly soapy. Bit too dry and watery in the finish. Perfumey. Huh, just too dry and watery in the end, while it has some nice things going on. Some sweetness does break through... Dunno. Hoped for more.

Dec. '16. A 0.33 l bottle, thanks Marko for sharing! It poured a pitch black body with a very small, almost nonexistent head. Rich aroma of cocoa, coffee, licorice, dried sweeter fruits, maybe even berries and all touched with herbal hops. Flavor was lightly bitter and kinda sweet, caramel mixed up with chocolate passing through the roasted palette of flavors to rye bread. Lightly peaty and corky as well. Full bodied, oily and complex with fine peaty finish retaining its coffee, dried fruit and chocolate notes, the latter of which was especially dominant near the very end. No unpleasant surprises here, very well executed RIS.
