Description
The Brauhaus Gusswerk is an innovative symbiosis of a beer bar and a brewery, a place for enjoyment, communication and cosiness. The initiator of this unique project is Salzburg's Reinhold Barta, passionate brewer. After more than ten years of organic brewing experience he realized his organic brewery in Salzburg's “Gusswerk” in 2007. Reinhold Barta's goal is to make sustainable and biodynamic beer in Austria socially acceptable. When he saw the plans of the "Gusswerk", he immediately knew: "This is where my brewery belongs." The beer should be drawn from the strength of its origin, of course with purely organic ingredients and old, natural manufacturing processes that reflect the circle of nature.

Can shared at ABC 2026, Müntlix. Golden color with whitenehsd. Not too much Weiss -ish in this beer. Aroma is malty, almost no banana esters or phenols. Taste is very flat no Weissbier notes. As drink OK, as NA weisse no.

Stable, dense, just yellowish head over finely carbonated crystal clear golden beer. All the yeast is in fine suspension at the very end of the bottle. Hay, mowed grass, dry leaves, faint toast. Dry, hay, toasted. Sweetish with a drier finish. Bit dull, for a Zwickel there's not much going on, the final UFO's making it even stranger. Txs to Stef!

From the eurospar, Frastanz, august 2024, best before 05/25, sharing this bottle with my wife yesterday, at Epalinges, at night, tired and happy with this classical märzen, smooth and malty, mineral, hint of sweetness and toffee, classical bitterness.

330mL bottle, pours a dirty dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma is full on oxidation: tons of cardboard, some dark fruits, light toffee. Flavour has a surprising lack of character, with bready malt, oxidation, a hint of toffee, but really, there’s not much depth or character here, especially for an 11% eisbock. Inoffensive but frustratingly underwhelming.

330mL bottle. Pours clear deep gold with a whiteish head. Lots of cardboard and stale bread crusts on the nose. Flavour has fermented wheat, cardboard, soggy old bread crusts. Boozy, but lacking any distinct character. Not very good.
