This is a weird beer and much more complex than any other bitter I have tried. The aroma has malt and fermented fruit. The beer is dark brown but mostly clear. There is an enormous off white head that lasts a long time and laces the glass. Several flavors. First is sweet malt, followed by sour fruit, and finally bitter hops. Nearly a fruit beer.

A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and grassy, while the flavor is hoppy - with a clear presence of Golding, giving it a dusty flavor, but also some grassy notes. No wonder the body is thin, but otherwise a nice bitter.

Bottle Conditioned
Dark amber color; thin head. Some malt, light roasted malts and strong caramel character (a bit metallic nose); well bitter in the final, also with some aromatic hop. A pleasant strong Bitter.

Dark brown color. Strange aroma: malt, chocolate, vanilla, lemon. Some sweetness, a lot of caramel, chocolatey, but a bit thin at the end.

Sour malt aroma - not very strong. Mediuma amber. Light malt flavor with mild bitter finish. Easy drinking but on the light side.

A black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of licorice. The flavor is good with notes of licorice on a roasted malt background - but rather sour. Is the sourness due to lack of sugar? The body is thin.
