Description
The story of Tipsy beer begins with the two brothers Jan and Jozef Hermans.
Together, the brothers founded in 1898 a brewery called Brasserie Hermans Frères. The brewery was nicknamed St.-Anna, in reference to the St.-Annendael cloister that was located across the street. Joseph was in charge of brewing the beer and John was in charge of distribution. He went around cafes bringing the beer to the customers.

Almost a century later, Joey and Marc Hermans are bringing Tipsy beer back to life!

They work with guest brewery BeerSelect who ensures that the beer is brewed with quality.

Brown, opaque, with a creamy-beige head that falls quickly. Aroma: dark malt, dried fruit, wood, spices. Medium-sweet flavour, with a slight bitterness and sourness, malty, dark and red fruits, and malty notes. Medium body, delicate carbonation, delicate, malty with tart notes, very interesting, fresh and tasty, very pleasant.

Can from Beer52. It pours hazy deep brown with a thick, fluffy khaki head. The aroma is full of dried/dark/red fruits, tangy, jammy, liquorice allsorts, jam roly poly, wood, touch of umami and malt loaf. The taste is dry upfront, tart, bitter - sweet character, tangy, jammy red berries, raspberry, fig, umami, liquorice, brown bread, spicy, toothy, chewy, some minerality, damp basement, must and wet wood with a drying, slightly tannic finish. Medium body and average carbonation. An interesting flavour profile. Doesn't quite have the balance or drinkability I had hoped for.

Light golden with a very slight haze, fluffy white head
A - slightly yeasty aroma, with a bit of floral hop character
F - bready with nice hoppy overtones
For me the hops lift this to be a much more appealing drink than the average lager.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Clear yellow golden color with a huge sized bubbly white head. Aroma is wheat, malts, floral, citrusy. Flavor is similar, plus a firm bitterness in the finish. Not bad.
