Can picked up somewhere not so special. Clear medium gold, medium, fine head. Looks like lager. Spicy, lemon hops with grains in the nose, a bit of soap, but not horrible. Crisp, lemony, a bit corny, some minerals. Typical Asahi. Rather dry finish.

Can from a Tokyo convenience store. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is grainy malt, corn, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a light, crisp, bubbly, mineral, light metallic, hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

I drank this May 2019 in Takamatsu, Japan and check the serving machine that had a sticker saying Kuronama. There was also a hand written sign “kuronama is back”, so I guess it’s back. Brown color. Metallic nose with faint roastiness. Mouth is light, nice cola and coffee notes with a bit of caramel. Very drinkable and passable schwartz.
