Golden, a bit hazy color, vanishing head. Strong aroma of artifical lemon. Sticky, caramelly-cyrapy body. Tart, salty-lemony flavor. Like drinking lemon-juice concerate. Awful beer, couldn’t finish the can.

Golden color, white head. Harsh and sweet malty with cooked corn notes. Smooth carbonation. Watery palate. Quite tasteless, some tropical lager sweetness and harshness in the aftertaste.

Can, alc. 3.4 % (BB 07/2008)
Golden color, small white head. Aroma of sweetcorn and iron. Watery palate, fizzy carbonation. Very metallic flavor. Real light beer - everything is so light in this beer.

Can (BB 07/2008)
Golden color, small white head. Sweet malty (apple peals) and grainy aroma. Sweet malty flavor and more apple peels. Short oily finish. More or less another crap tropical lager, although not the worst and most drinkable (ice gold) of Costa Rican main brands.

Very pale yellow color, decent white head. Grainy, metallic aroma. Very watery (of course, this is a light beer!). Brewing cereals flavor with light sweet notes. Bland and thin.

Can, alc. 5.1 % (BB 02/2008)
Golden color, small white head. Grainy, papery, sweet malty nose. Quite watery, mostly grainy industrial flavor. Typical cheap lager and propably the worst of three Costa Rican main brands.

Can (BB 04/2008)

Ricey adjuncty aroma, cereal grain, rice crispies. A bit of tangerine? Sugar cane. Surprisingly medium mouthfeel, not watery at all. High carbonation contributes to the near fullness of palate. Bready grainy malts, balanced finish. A bit tart/astringent/husky in the finish. Straw color but a medium foamy head and lacing. What a surprise!

12oz bottle...wow, this beer comes with a flotation device...light golden color, the off-white head appears on the swirl, then gone....aroma is sweet and sour, lightly malted...almost like a corona, but richer, fuller...sour taste, thin body eh, bleh, not for me

Thanks to decaturstevo for bringing this tropical gem back to Knoxville to share with the crew in the hotel room before the Brewer’s Jam. Clear yellow, no head. Lemony lemonade aroma. Tastes like the rim of a Margarita glass. Salt, salt water, sea water, tears, saline solution, sodium chloride in an aqueous solution...... Interesting example of the brewer’s art.
